The history of pearl diving goes back almost 7,000 years. And it continued up until the nineteenth century. Pearl diving was an important economic activity in the UAE for many years. Brave and skilled divers would retrieve the pearls from the sea.

Activity time:

 Solving a word search is great for more than one reason! It’s a new challenge, it increases memory and brain development, and even helps you improve your mood and relax at the end of the day. Use a highlighter or colored pencil to circle each term you find. For each new word, write down one example of when you have experienced or lived that moral this year – you might be surprised how many you practice already!

Lesson:Best Meal Ever!

Learning Objectives: To understand to cultural diversity in UAE society.

The UAE is a culturally diverse society. It is home to people of many different cultures. Cultural diversity means that there is a range of different cultures within the same place. People have moved to the UAE for many reason and they all bring their own culture here.

The UAE’s leadership, government and people were inspired by Shaikh Zayed’s thoughts to make diversity as an important tool to live a more intellectual and moral life, where community members live in harmony, regardless of their race, colour or religion.

Read the text (pg.no.23) Best Meal Ever. This lesson focuses on variety of traditional food and rich cultural of UAE.
